Easy-ish way to beat antlion.
[PS2 Cheat by: FFobssesive ]
Before all the mantises surrounding it see you then cast aeroaga on them because these are really annoying They are weak to wind magic. Keep doing this until they all die. heal yourself when needed. When threy are all dead (you may get into quite a brawl with them) then focus your attacks on the antlion.
P.S. it helps to have protect, haste, bubble, faith and bravery on your characters but you do not have to.
9999 Damage in a Row
[PS2 Cheat by: Rain17 ]
Use OIL and FIRAGA. But DO NOT USE THE NORMAL FIRE because it deals less damage. OIL stays permanent on a foe even after many FIRAGA. It might possibly work on high level characters between 60-65. Just try for yourself then youŽll see.
How to bubble your espers
[PS2 Cheat by: Cheat Masters ]
For some reason if you use bubble on your esper, it is immune to it. All you have to do is summon an esper, cast bubble on yourself, then use stamp on your esper.
Hidden Baknamy merchant
[PS2 Cheat by: FFobssesive ]
The hidden baknamy merchant is in the hall of efugelent light in the Necrohol of Nabudis.
There should be one corridor tgat has some elvorets in it and ends at a dead end and a room on the right. If you go in the room you should see 2 more rooms not on the map. There should be what looks like red treasure. It is actually a moderately strong mimic called pandora. In the room with pandoraif you go to the top left hand corner your character should have ??? above his head press x and the merchant should appear.
He sells maximilians, magepowershishaks,(Which for one of each costs 32,000gil) Demon shields( i think cost 40,000gil i can't remember.) He sells ethers and telekenisis and scathe. (scathe costs 18,000 gil) You may need quite a bit of money but it is worth it for the stuff
Extremely Fast Early Leveling (level 1-20 in 45 minutes) and Fast Gil
[PS2 Cheat by: Cheat Masters ]
Here's the trick.
First off, spend every single dollar you have on phoenix downs. Try to get a minimum of 25.
Then go to the Westersand, 'Sand Corridor', and stay RIGHT next to the border between areas.
Now hit yourself until you are at less than 10% HP.
A unique monster called Dustia will spawn. Use a Phoenix Down on it IMMEDIATELY (or else Dustia wil get a Dark off and kill you), and it will die.
Now, as it is dying you run back across the border to the other area. You MUST cross before the numbers for experience and LP show up. Then cross back, and Dustia will reappear. Repeat over and over again, and if you are quick you can grab the (extremely good) loot it drops before you run over the border.
It gives you 1000xp, 6 LP and the Books of Origan it drops are worth 538 Gil each. I got to level 21 with over 20000 gil by chaining this monster in under an hour. Best done with Vaan alone before you meet any other characters.
Easy gil / exp
[PS2 Cheat by: Cheat Masters ]
Go to the lushu mines if you have already done so you will know there is a strech where loads of skeletons are coming out the floor go in go all the way to the end of the strech and then go out go back in and repeatedly do this you will get loads of exp from level 15-20 and you will colloect loads of items including bone fragments if you get a high chain if you get to about 220 chain you should not be able to get any more fragments because you should have about 99.
Hints on Zodiark
[PS2 Cheat by: Cheat Masters ]
Before going into to battle, equip all your characters with dark masks, doing this will make it a 50-50 chance of getting hurt of Darkja.
If you are getting killed of darkja and your other 3 characters are turd, then take one of your powerful characters out and make 2 other powerful characters fight it because when he uses darkja, he will more likely to kill both of them but you have got one poerful warrior in the reserves. Bring the character out of the reserves and use Arise on the 2 KO,d characters. This means you are back on track with the battle. Repeat this process if you must.
The Angry Undying(Easy way to stop the undying using holy on you)
If you enter the battle with the undying equipped with the white mask, he will not use holy on you. But if your wearing some other headwear he will use it. Now i,m giong to tell you something that will really piss him off. When he's ready to use holy on one of the characters, open up the menu and equip the white mask on the character who is about to get hit. Doing so, will not hurt your character, instead giving him or her at least 3000 to 4000 HP.
The Undying - "Grrrrr"
Masemune Tip
[PS2 Cheat by: Cheat Masters ]
Have a character equip the masemune. With high health, kill a creature. If you are a level 85, the damage should at least be from 3000-4000 damage. Now lower your life anyway you can ("infuse" can help). Attack a creature now, as you can see, the damage grows higher.
Confused?
Well, when your life is at the CRITICAL point (when your character starts blinking red), combo rate and attack increases a whole bunch. Here's a strategy:
1. Equip the masemune with Vaan/Basch
2. Lure a character except Vaan/Basch
3. Infuse the character who holds the masemune (if the life doesn't go that low, run until you get at least 1 mp. The less Mp you have, the more your life will go down)
4. Equip the Genji Gloves with da chractr who has da masmune.
5. Now slap on haste, bravery, and berserk.
Make sure you do this before a battle with bosses. NOW LOOKIT HIM GO!!! Combos can only go up to 12 hits.
Level 99 Wild Saurian (WARNING)
The Wild Saurian can be found in the Dalmasca Eastersand. Make sure your party level is at 99 because this is going to be VERY tough. Also, have dark matter with you.
Turn off your gambits first. Then find the Wild Saurian. Once you find it, DO NOT ATTACK IT YET. Find some wolves that are close to the area around the Wild Saurian. Then let a pack of wolves attack you. If you have good armor, then the attack will just be 0. Lure the pack of wolves to the Wild Saurian by walking. That way, if you just run and go too far from the wolves, they will not chase you anymore. Once the wolves are near the Wild Saurian, the Wild Saurian will use cannabilize on each wolf. Then use Libra and check the Wild Saurian's level, it should be about a level 72 after cannabalizing about 8 wolves. Find more wolves. Repeat these steps until the Wild Saurian becomes a level 99. This should take only about 15 minutes. The Wild Saurian will also have about 13500 HP. Now, attack it if you want. Once you do, the Wild Saurian will react to you and attack you. Each attack will do 9999 damage no matter how strong your armor is. Now, if you have weapons such as a tournesol or a zodiac spear, try attacking the Wild Saurian with them. They will only damage the Wild Saurian from 0 to 50!!! Trust me because i have experienced it. If your characters keep dying, use the dark matter item. It will kill the Wild Saurian with a total damage of 50,000.
The teamwork of Ultima and the Excalibur (and uses)
When fighting Zodiark or any other tough creature, summon Ultima. Zodiark is weak to holy and Ultima is weak to dark. The good thing is, Ultima does more holy attacks than Zodiark does dark because he only uses Darkja once in a while. Equip an Excalibur to your strongest character. When Ultima's life is low, attack her and her life will go all the way up (not really all the way but ya kno wut I mean). Meanwhile, attack Zodiark and lure Ultima. When your life is low, use balance or balance motes. Helps a whole bunch when Zodiark uses switch and becomes immune to attack for almost eternity.

Automatically Activating Zodiark's Limit Break (when you obtain zodiark)
[PS2 Cheat by: Shadow ]
After summoning zodiark, use petrify on yourself. Take zodiark to fight a creature and he will atuomatically use his limit break which deals 50000 damage.
How to level up fast, and get alot of LP
First of all, you need to get Golden Amulet and Embroidered Tippet. Have 3 party members equip with Embroidered Tippet, and the 3 reserve members equip with Golden Amulet. This way the ones that are out fighting gets bouble experience points, and those in reserve gets bouble LP. When they level up, switch them with the reserve members and also switch their accessories. If they have Golden Amulet switch to Embroidered Tippet, and if they have Embroidered Tippet switch them to Golden Amulet. I recomend doing this when you get both accessories.
Here are some good places to level up:
-LV 1-10, Giza PLains and Barheim Passage
-LV 10-15, Dreadnought Laviathan
-LV 15-20, Lhusu mines( run back and fourth on the Shunia Twinspan)
-LV 20-27, Giza PLains( the Rains)
-LV 27-31, Giza PLains( fight the Silicon Tortoises in Tracks of the Beast durin the Rains)
-LV 31-60, Ozmone Plains, Zertinan Caverns, and Paramina Rift( do this solo, that means only one party member are out to fight and the rest is in reserve)
-LV 60-99, The Henne Mines
Ultima Blade 2h 118attk
[PS2 Cheat by: TomTM]
First complete the Pharos event and the Seer hunt. If your still workin ur way thru the hunt, dats ok, as long as you are able to enter Umbra through the elevator near the teleport crystal. Go to umbra. Then go to the north-east room. open the door inside there and you should see a dragon lich. go inside the room where the lich is and kill him. try looking around the corners of the room and there should be a treasure. equip a diamond armlet and open the treasure. you should get the blade. if you didnt get the blade, wait till the chest respawns which may take awhile and repeat the steps. this took me 2 tries.
Level Up One Character Super Fast
[PS2 Cheat by: Badbone ]
After the Phoros story part a fast way to level up one character is to fly your Strahl to Cerobi Steppe so you will be next to a save point.Have one character in your party.oh that character should know death (Arcane Magick).Just in cast, buff him or her. Finally your main enemy that your looking for is that RingWyrm (Red Dragon). Sometimes it goes to sleep. as soon as you see it use death on it quick. if it see you,you will catch hell.If death works, you will get 11077 exp. that is lvl 61, 60 will give you a little less but, it still in the 10000.If death do not work keep using it.
For a bonus equip the Embroidered Tippet for double the exp.
Easy Vayne kill
Make sure are at a lvl 99: here's why:
When the last stage of Vayne (last transformation) begins, attack him once and then turn off your gambits and just wait. Vayne will keep attacking you and thats why your supposed to be lvl 99. Equip bubble belt if needed. Continue to do nothing (cure if needed). Wait until Vayne does all his gigaflare and sword thing. Then he will use his ultimate attack. Notice how he starts blinking red after he is done with that move. Attack him again and he will die, if your weapon is weak, attack him a few more times. He will die. :]
Best chest (better way to raise GIL $$$)
[PS2 Cheat by: GIL SNAPPER ]
Hey do you know the place where you can steal deathbringer sword at the barheim passage havent you noticed that the treasure chest in there contain 2000-3000gil surely y7ou know what to do just go 3 screens away and when you came back you wioll see them again you can kill the monsters too for their loot nd if your lucky you caqn steal another deathbringer at the special mimic in there just keep doing until you have enough gil to spend this fastyer than my WOLF LOOTand PHANTER HUNTERr but if you want to raise your gil and also your lp you should try try phanter hunter aqnd remember this is for higher leveln character and higher money raking hope i helped HAPPY HUNTING !!!!
Avoiding Omega MK XII
TIP: Before getting into battle with Omega, use vanish among all of your party members. Now fight Omega. Notice how he doesn't attack you. it is because he is a machine and cannot detect you.
The Excalibur
Enter this website and a map will appear. Use this map to find Excalibur.
NOTE: Equip diamond armlet. If the treasure doesn't have it, go back 3 screens and come back, the treasure will be there again. Also, beware, before you open the treasure, have the camera close up on it. Then open the treasure and if the treasure is still there, open it again and you will have the excalibur. Yes it is a glitch, a cool glitch -
Leveling up to 99 in about 30 minutes
NOTE: Must be over lvl 55-60 (i 4got) and must have VERY STRONG WEAPONS AND ARMOR. Bubble, float, sleepga, and curaJa must be learned and must equip the embroidded tippet. Make sure magick power is strong.
First complete the hunts that the people in Jahara want you to kill. All I know is Catobles, Mindflayer, and dazzit but there are at least 3 more. Also, you must have 10 espers. Complete all this, and chat to one of the people in Jahara. I forgot the name so try talkin to all of em. He will tell you about the esper Zodiark and where it is. After that, go to Henne Mines and save your game on the crystal near the the place where you fought tiamat. After that again, go inot hte chamber where you fought tiamat. A new gate will be opened with new areas in henne mines. Once you go in, there will be no more save crystals.
WARNING! The weakest creature you can face in the new area is an abysteel which has over 20,000 hp and leech will suck in about 4000 hp. So dont 4get to bubble which doubles your HP.
There will be many traps along the way so use float. Then enter the area with the switch control thing. Set your gambits for all characters:
Foe: any Sleepga
Foe: any CuraJa ---------JA JA JA! not GA
Put these gambits all the way to the top in that order. First sleepga then curaja. Then flick the switch. Instead of Jellies dropping down like in the other area, a mess of Abysteels will come down! Thanks to the gambits, sleepga will put them all to sleep and just in case one of em doesnt like bed time, you got your other chracter's gambit whcih should be the same. Then your characters will use curaja on all of them which lowers there HP alot because of: abysteels are undead/ oh yea, the undead can be killed by being cured/ DO NOT USE POTIONS. Also curaja can be much stronger depending on magick power. Then you will kill them all and earn over 8000 exp (i think or could be 6000) but thanks to the embroidded tippet, you get double so yaaaaay. All of your characters will level up during each round of abysteels but when your party level is about 85, it might take 2 rounds.
XTRA: Having a problem with Zalera the esper cuz you cant attk and have to deal with all those zombies? EAZY! JUST USE CURAJA!!!!YAAAAAY! Then Zalera will die in about 5 minutes. hes a rank 2.
Kill Judge Ghis Easy (sort of:)on Dreadnaught levethion
First, try to equip most of your party with powerful weapons. I had it like this:-
Vaan - Mage Masher
Balthier - Oaken Pole
Fran - Shortbow (with off hand - onion arrows)
Basch - Oaken Pole
Ashe - Longsword
Penelo - Daggar
Next, stock up on Pheonix Downs - you will need them. Also it could be useful to have learnt a quickening. I hadn't learned one, but i still got through. Once you've passed the scene with Lamont person and penelo. No guards will come after that. Heal everyone and ran about to get your MP up(If u have a quickening this is useful, as it drains most of ur mp).Go inside and there is a scene. It would have been easier with vossler but u dont have him, so u have to work well. use all quickenings at the start if u have them. Otherwise set one persons gambits to Ally-Hp70% or lower - Cure. Keep attacking and dont use magick, because it wastes mp and dosent do anything to him. When sum1 dies, which is likely, swap them with sum1 else who isn't in the party at the time. I started with Balthier, Basch, Fran. I got fran to cure everyone and the other 2 to attack ghis. Once you run out of swaps use pheonix downs to heal every one. Plus hi-potions are very useful, if u have any. Just keep attacking and quickening to kill him. At the start he has the soldiers with him. Kill them first. If u brought a weapon, but can not equip ti, use lp now. If u do this u'll have no trouble with him
WOLF LOOT
After you cleared the barheim passage you have 3 party members to accompany you bashe, fran and balthier ok this is what youre gonna do its very simple kill all the wolves you see !!! kill all of them make chains for over hundreds (i got for over300+it ended when basche suddenly attacked a cockatrice watch over him since you still cant control his actions)if you can make that chain high enough they can drop so many loot for each kill you can raise your lp points too since every kill you obtain 1 lp points imagine ifd you killed 500 wolves you will have so many to spend (this seem to be very simple because you can always see them some people even ignore them and pay no attention for the beasts) this is suggested if you want to have an early gil and also raise your lp happy hunting!!!!
Panther hunter (best way to raise gil)
In golmore jungle after you enter you will see panthers kill all of them and the most common loot they would drop is ceorl pelts.(ceorl pelts is sold at 400gil each )ok when you enter go left and right and there will be more panthers to murder whren they ran out just runback 2 screens away (WARNING:DONT TOUCH THE BLUE SAVE CRYSTAL OR YOU WILL BREAK YOUR CHAIN ) WHEN YOU COME BACK ALL THE PANTHERS THAT YOUVE KILLED ALREADY RESPAWNED. just keep doing this until you already have 99 ceorl pelts and 99 storm magicites also they sometimes drop warp motes and quality pelts too. when you sell them you will have at leats 60thousand gil.see in just a few minutes you already have money to spend this is quite sinmilar to my WOLF LOOT only this is for higher level charactera an higher money raking hope i helped HAPPY HUNTING!!!
Over 100,000 Gil in 20 minutes
First you should be over a level 60 so things can be much faster and easier - make sure you have holy lances or an excalibur:Second, Zeromus must be defeated -
Go to the Stillshrine of Miriam and into the place where you have fought Zeromus. Skeletons will appear now and you can kill each of them in 1 hit. They will drop blood-darkened bones which sell about 1500 each - If no more skeletons come out, go back to the pedestal and touch it, you should end up in another place, touch it again, then you should end up near the enterance of Stillshrine of Miriam where those 2 Reapers are. TRY NOT TO KILL ANY OF THEM OR YOU WILL BREAK THE CHAIN! Then touch the pedestal one more time and you will end up in the Zeromus area again. New skeletons will appear and your chain will continue. Keep repeating all these steps until you get a chain of 100, each time you go to Zeromus' area, you should have done at least over 35 chains: Then check your inventory, you should have 99 blood darkened bones and 99 dark crystals:.probably 99 pebbles too:sell em all:
XTRA: If you dont know where the place is or anything about Zeromus, follow these steps:.
1. Far into the game after beating Doc Cid, chat to one of them midgets with a staff somewhere near the temple of Mt.Bur-Omisace. He will give you the Stone of Condemner.
2. Go to the Stillshrine of Miriam and go to that 1st pedestal, use the stone of condemner.
3. Kill Zeromus (Rank 2 Esper).
4. The End. Good Luck!
Super Treasure
First go to the place in Phon Coast where you see a mess of treasures. Open them all. This will have something to do with the pack of treasures in the Necrohol of Nabudis. Open the tresures at phon coast in a certain way because in nabudis, you will have to open the treasures the same way. I know you might not get the Zodiac Spear because of all this but its worth waaaaaaaaaay better! Then equip Diamond Armlet with one of your characters.
NOTE: Make sure zodiark is dead.
Then go to henne mines and in the middle of the arena where zodiark was, there will be a treasure. After you open it, there WILL be another treasure in its place. Cool huh? Everytime you open this treasure, another will take its place. UNLIMITED TREASURE AND GUESS WHAT? WITH THE DIAMOND ARMLET, THE TREASURE CONTAINS A TOURNESOL, A ZODIAC SPEAR, WYRMHERO, ULTIMA BLADE, MAXIMILLIAN, DARK MATTER, ETC WITH A 100% CHANCE!!!!!!! If you dont equip diamond armlet, then you will only get weak armor, weak weapons, knot of rusts, etc. THIS TREASURE IS SO UNLIMITED YOU CAN GET AT LEAST A BILLION ZODIAC SPEARS!!!! I SWEAR!!!!!!! PLEASE TRUST ME!!!! In truth, I did not get this cheat from other people. I found it out myself. I guess it was a glitch if you ask me but DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANG!
Easy lvls,gill,andlp

First complete the gil snapper hunt. Then go to the beast tracks area in Giza plains during the rain. you`ll find 4 sillicon tortuoises. General Good Advice, Part II:
[PS2 Cheat by: AKJ ]
A few more things that I've been doing that seem to work out well. A quick rundown:
1. Set the Party Leader's attack gambits as follows: Foe: HP Critical --> Attack, followed by Foe: Lowest HP --> Steal. I keep the Thief's Cuffs equipped on my leader, and the other 2 Party Members set to Foe: Party Leader's Target --> Attack. This way I'm always stealing good loot, and I can manually make the Party Leader help out the attackers if necessary. Also, all party members are focused on the same enemy, knocking it out quickly instead of spreading the damage around. Also, the Leader will automatically help finish off anything that is almost dead. (A wounded enemy still inflicts full damage:)
2. Since reserve party member status effects do not 'count down' and expire while the character is inactive, I've taken to casting every single positive status effect on every single character, and then just keeping the Party Leader out front to move around. That way the positive effects only 'count down' on the Leader (who I have stealing anyway), while the backups that I swap in to fight are totally buffed much of the time. Also, if the main party gets into trouble (such as in a powerful boss or hunt fight), I can swap in the entire reserve party and they are completely fresh and buffed with 9 fresh Mist Charges:
(I'll generally camp next to a Save Crystal with the 'reserve' party out front, and cast Protect(ga), Shell(ga), Bravery, Faith, Haste(ga), Regen, Bubble, Float, and Vanish(ga) (last ;-) on them all, then swap in the 'main' party and do the same thing, and then put the 2 non-leaders into reserve so their status effects will not count down. Now, just touch the Save Crystal and the leader's on his way:)
3. I also keep Ally: Any --> Haste and Ally: Any --> Regen gambits on all characters, down at the bottom. These are useful and inexpensive, and the MP's used are easily regenerated before either effect expires.
4. Umm: That is about it. Have a nice day! :-)
Quick lvl up and a hefty sum of money as well
[PS2 Cheat by: tronv2 ]
After you have found penelo on the flying continent in the mine (forgot the name of it) you can go back to where there were a group of bad guys who you ran from and grind.
In the last 2 sections of map in the mine only skeletons resurect, giving you a great place to give you the advantage in later levels. i recommend grinding when you are at level 12 on all characters. when i did this i got a chain of 200+ which will give you a 99% chance of drops from monsters and most of the time a benificial effect, such as protect or shell. the main drop from these monsters are bone fragments and dark stones. by the time you get a chain of 200, you would have your characters to about lvl 18 and enough loot to get you roughly 12,000 Gil. repeating this can help funds but will only help levels so much.
Another good thing about this is you get 1 LP for each monster. 1 trip of a 200 chain can buy a big chunk of licence board for each character.
This will also increase the lvl of new guest or party members and give then more base LP
Chain Quickenings

(only if every character in your party has a quickening, guest characters excluded.)
Uhh..This is going to be really really confusing to explain. O_O
There's a reason why there is a timer in quickening mode.
The faster you make your decision on which character should perform a quickening next, the more time you will have in the next round. It's easier to make quick decisions at first, and then when you get to your 3rd hit, you will have more time to keep pressing R2 until a mist charge will show. Pressing the button that is assigned to that character, (eg; triangle button) will give them the mist charge, and then you press the button again to choose them to perform the next action. When the timer eventually gets too fast for you and ends the quickening chain, switch one active character with a person from the sideline. For example, if I had Basch, Ashe and Penelo out as a party, I would swap Penelo with Vaan. I then would use Vaan (who still has unused MP) to perform a quickening on the monster. When in Vaan's quickening mode, you can easily just keep pressing R2 again for mist charges. When you run out of quickening chains, you can just swap Vaan for another character, like Balthier. And have Balthier perform a quickening on the monster and keep trying to get the mist charges, etc etc. This way, you get 4 chances to bring the monster down with quickening chains.
LEVEL UP FAST AND EASY AFTER LV.60 AND GET GIL!!!
[PS2 Cheat by: trunks226 ]
So you've reached level 60 and ur probably ready to win the game, but if your a hardcore ff gamer than you want to make all your characters lvl 99. So here is the best way I have been able to do it and the best way I have seen so far. Once you've beaten practically every area and now its just time to win the game and do sidequests you want to get a few items. You want the zodiac spear, which is the most powerful weapon in the game, and the embroided tippet which gives you double exp. I started with Vaan (and when you do this take out the 2 other characters so the one your focusing on is alone). equip the zodiac spear, give him the best armor you have and equip the embroided tippet. Now teleport to giruvegan. Use the 2 teleport devices to get to the inside. There are 3 different levels of the area with only about 4 different types of monsters. With the zodiac spear and good armor you should be nearly invincible and every monster gives you over 2k, with the behemoths giving you closer to 4k exp. with the embroided tippet obviously it double so your banking 5-10k exp on every kill and most monsters will die within 1-3 strikes with the spear. It also helps to set only 3 gambits (trust me thats all you will need) set self-haste and self-regen and also attack closest enemy then you just sit back and walk through each area a good 2-3 times then move on and make sure to pick up all the goodies that get dropped because you gain so much items which actually can be cashed in pretty well. With this procedure I managed to level up a lv 60 character one level every 4-5 mins until they reach about 90, then from there on it might take 10-15 mins or so to get the last 9 lvs. Make sure you stop from time to time to go sell loot at any of the shops then return to giruvegan and keep going. All my characters now are lvl 99 and I have over 2million gil so trust me it works. It just takes a little time and dedication. Have fun!!!
Deathbringer sword early in the game
[PS2 Cheat by: Cheat Code Master ]
Deathbringer- attack 90, one hit KO
*you can get this as soon as you get the dawn shard*
ok so go through all that side quest to get the barheim key (im not writing it cause it is written everywhere already and its veryyy long). once you get the key, enter the barheim passage through the dalmasca eastersand. okay there are 2 new open paths now, one has a bunch of bombs and the other, to the left i believe, has toads and an adamtine thing. also disease traps so watch out. there are a few treasure cheats that contain loads of money in here but one is on the other side of a rock that a salimander is standing beside. a mimic could be inside it, although much harder than the ones that came out of the chests earlier on in the game of course. keep in mind it is a rare monster. so keep leaving and opening the chest until the mimic pops out. dont try to fight him unless you are getting this late in the game because most likely he is too hard (22000 hp). steal the deathbringer sword from him. equipping the theifs cuffs is a good idea. you can repeat this as many times as you like. once i stole the sword i ran like hell so good luck.

High-Levelling Up in a Breeze
[PS2 Cheat by: Cheat Code Master ]
Levelling up getting too tedious once your average level is above 60? It's understandable since the game is designed to be possible for completion when you are level 60 (or even less), so there aren't many places where you can level up fast and easy after reaching 60. High-levelled optional bosses and rare games are an option, but they are not always available and comes by only every once in a while. The Necrohol of Nabudis may sound like a good place, but it is got wide hallways (possible ambush!) and different types of enemies with different elemental properties. So look no further: the Nabreus Deadlands' got what you need.
Considering you are at 55-60, you might have defeated Roblon at Overlooking Eternity--accessible through a secret path in the Northwestern of The Slumbermead section of Nabreus Deadlands. Overlooking Eternity is a tiny, narrow area and has only one type of monster roaming inside after you defeated the Roblon: the Dead Bones. Now these are a pretty tough bunch and they are aggressively fast, but each could dish out about 1,100+ EXP when defeated. The trick is to cast a bunch of positive status on your party (Haste, Shell, and Regen at the least), have a tanker character equip a Holy Lance (or some other Holy-augmented weapon) and equip Embroidered Tippets which could double the EXP earned before entering Overlooking Eternity (while still in The Fog Mutters).
Once inside, the Bones will quickly spawn like mad--even as high as five at a time--and there is a high possibility that you will be overwhelmed even when you are at 60. It's best that everyone in the party gangs up on one Bones at a time--this would allow you to focus on killing one faster before another comes forward. Don't split your party to take out many at once because these things have a considerable amount of HP and is very quick and generous on dishing out magic damage--most could take out 800-1,500 HP depending on your characters' levels and assigned equipments. Just kill ONE each at a time (unless you are very confident on your abilities) and proceed systematically to avoid more spawning than necessary. They will keep on spawning and then stop after a while (after about a chain of 20); take this short break to cure everyone and recast your positive status--avoid walking around when doing this because it would activate another spawn--then when you are ready just get moving and they will re-appear.
An average day in Overlooking Eternity is a field day of at least a chain of 50 kills in a single entry--more than enough to obtain high-quality loots and tradeable goods, and since one Dead Bones gives you about 1,100 EXP, 50 would give about 55,000--doubled with the Tippet into more than 110,000: just do the math. When the spawning has completely stopped, just exit 2 screens (saving at a nearby Teleport Crystal would be a good idea) and enter again to find the spawning as good as new. If you did it right, depending on your level, a half an hour in this cozy little spot could guarantee for at least one level up for each active character.
Good hunting.
Lots of Cash/XP with easy kills.
[PS2 Cheat by: Cheat Code Master ]
If you use the teleport stone to go to the Tchita Uplands, exit east and head toward the area at the end of the next zone where there is basically a "fork" in the road between going north and going east. There are Coeurl spawns both at the fork and on both sides of it. Because of the 2-zone distance between them, the spawn never depletes on the far sides, and you can chain up as many as you like! Stealing will also get you embroidered tippets if you have thief's cuffs and those are very valuable. Loots include Coeurl Pelts (450 gil) Quality Pelts (800+ gil) and Storm Crystals (160 gil). Be sure to buy the grimoire for beasts before to maximize your profit!
Happy hunting!
How to get the 2 Zodiac Spears
[PS2 Cheat by: Cheat Code Master ]
ZODIAC SPEAR #1
To get Zodiac Spear #1, You can not open 12 specific chests in 4 areas. The game itself offers no hints as to these locations. Thus, this is quite a difficult task to pull off for players whom feel the need to open every chest they find in the game.
The locations of each of the chests >>
Area 1: Chest North of the enterance to Lowtown.
[1 Chest ] - Do not open it.
Area 2: Furthest chest in the Southeast corner of the Cellars of the Royal Palace.
[1 Chest ] - Do not open it.
Area 3: Open no chests in the Confiscatory of the Royal Palace.
[9 Chests ] - Do not open any of these chests.
Area 4: One of the 16 chests on the east side of The Vaddu Strand in The Phon Coast. Hard to explain which one, so open none of them. The contents are low anyway.
[1 Chest ] - Open none of them untill you have the Zodiac Spear.
We suggest not opening ANY chests in ANY of these 4 areas to make certain you will get the 1st of 2 Zodiac Spears.
IF YOU OPENED NONE OF THESE 12 CHESTS, THE ZODIAC SPEAR WILL BE IN A CHEST WITHIN THE [NECROHOL OF NABUDIS] DUNGEON. THE OTHER CHESTS IN THE AREA WITH THE ZODIAC SPEAR WILL CONTAIN "DARK MATTER" IF YOU HAVE THE "DIAMOND GAUNTLETS" EQUIPPED BEFORE OPENING THEM.
--------------
ZODIAC SPEAR #2
This one is harder to get! It is in the Henne Mines in the 2nd phase dig area, before you fight the Zodiark Esper. Thus to get this Zodiac Spear, you must have obtained at least 10 Espers (the requirement of obtaining Zodiark), or the area will not be opened.
The Zodiac Spear will then be in a chest in which spawns in the 2nd phase area. However, the chest only has small chance of appearing. And smaller chance of containing the Zodiac Spear.
To obtain this Zodiac Spear, you MUST have the Diamond Gauntlets equipped before opening the chest. It will NOT appear in the chest at all, without them equipped. If not equipped, you will only find gil.

Quickly Generate MP
To quickly generate MP you can run in a tight circle, and you will see your MP increase at a faster rate.
Flowering Cactoid
When you locate Flowering Cactoid, defeat all of the surrounding enemies in the area. He will now have no where to run and hide. Now just defeat him. Although you can do this with just Vaan, it is much easier if you do this hunt after Penelo has joined.
Zodiac Spear
Open all treasure chests but the following to get the spear:
1. Treasure chest in Lowtown, outside of Old Dylan's place.
2. When sneaking into the palace (before getting the Goddess Tear), there are several chests in the Cellar. Do not open the 2 chests in the southeast corner.
3. All treasure chests in the Confiscatory (the place where you get your weapons and armor back after being captured).
4. In the Phon Coast, later in the game, there is an island with sixteen chests all near each other. The fourth chest among all sixteen must not be opened, so it is best not to open any of them. They only contain Gil.
Now, go to the Necrohol of Nabudis to find the most powerful weapon in the game, the Zodiac Spear. It has a +150 Attack with +8 Evasion.
Mateus
Have your party over level 30 (for example, Vaan as party leader, Basch, and Penelo). Have both Vaan and Basch to learn Thundara and equip them both with Ice Shield. Equip Penelo with Storm Spear. Buy at least five Banchus Wine (Berserker). When the battle begins, have Vaan and Basch immediately cast Thundara to kill all the Ice Ace. Now, have Basch keep casting Thundara at Mateus and Vaan heal when needed. Let Penelo keep attacking Mateus. Once its effect wears off, make her berserk again. It is possible to defeat Mateus in about 7 minutes by doing this.
Near invincibility
This trick requires 2 or more party members. To gain near immortality, set all party member's Gambits to "If HP < 70" and "Cure" ~. Your party members will now constantly cure you and your MP will always regenerate. If you run out of MP, add another Gambit to use potions "If HP < 30".
Some easy Experience & Gil
While going through the Nam-Yensa Sandsea, go to the northern most part of The Sandscale Bank. You will come across Bagolys here. They are worth 448 to 676 exp each and can drop Bent Staffs worth about 1,300 Gil. Fight them, leave, then come back to repeat.
On the mission of the Blue Basilisk "Nidhogg" is a place where lots of skeletons keep appearing. If they stop you just need to go off 2 maps then return to have them respawn. You can gain both exp and Gil because you get Bone Fragments(182 Gil) and Iron Helms(300 Gil).
Zodiac Esper
Get 10 or more Espers and finish the Mindflare Mob Hunt mission (rank B).
Chat to Feng Shui Master Yuggil in Jaharago.
Go to Henne Mines to fight the Zodiac Boss.
Defeat the Zodiac Boss to get the Zodiac Esper.

Queklain Esper
You really should be at least level 45 to attempt this Esper.
Do the Mob Hunt mission for White Mousse to get the Water Gate Key.
Now go to the Central Control area and use the Water Gate Key to close the gates to the 11th and 4th areas. Do this using the little pedestals on the ground.
Now, go into the 4th Accessory District and activate the control for the 1st area gate.
Return to the Central Control area and reopen the 11th and 4th gates, then close the 10th and 3rd gates.
Next, go to the 3rd Accessory District and again close the switch to the 1st area.
Return again and open the 10th gate and close the 4th.
You will now be able to go to the south part of the 1st Control Area where you will find the Queklain Boss if you have done the steps correclty.
Gain the Queklain Esper after defeating the Boss.
Saving your Health
Although the Javelin and other weapons have a great attack, it is recommended you only use weapons that allow the use of a shield in the off-hand. When the shield is not equipped your allies die faster. So best use the shield to defend.
Final Fantasy series references
Explore around Rabanastre until you find a place called Nalbina Fortress. Once there you will find imperials named Gibbs and Deweg, which are the names Biggs and Wedge but just scrambled. Those names appear in previous Final Fantasy games.
During the battle with Gilgamesh (the rank VII mark given to you by Montblanc named "Ancient Mystery Man"), he will pull out various swords that are from previous Final Fantasy games. Gilgamesh will hold up to 8 since he has 8 arms. The more famous swords include Cloud's Buster Sword, Squall's Gunblade, Tidus' Brotherhood, and Sephiroth's Masamune. The strange thing is all of these swords have some changes to their previous forms. For example, Cloud's Buster Sword has a Japanese symbol on it. Tidus' Brotherhood has a hook at the end on both sides instead of just the bladed part.
One of the NPCs in the City Of Arcades, refers to an acting troupe by Tantulus. This is the same acting troupe that Zidane belongs to in Final Fantasy 9.
If you return to Rabanastre after leaving Balfonhiem, there is a NPC located across from Migelo's Sundries. He claims that his friend counted people at the fete at the start of the game. He says that the count may even include the "spoony bards". This could be a reference to the classic Final Fantasy 4 line spoken by Cecil, "Oh, you spoony bard."
There are several references to Aeons (Final Fantasy 10).
There is a place called Sky Fortress Bahamut. Bahamut is the name of the 5th Aeon you receive in FF10.
There are 2 airships called The Ifrit and The Shiva. These are the names of the 2nd and 4th Aeons obtained in Final Fantasy 10.
One more references is one of Montibecs elite marks is Ixion. That is the 3rd Aeon obtained in FF10.
When you sneak into the palace close to the begining, Barthelio says "Ifrit", which refers to the Aeon Ifrit in Final Fantasy 10 and also in X-2.
Rockeater
Description: Just attack him with weapons and use a lot of wind magic (Aero). This should make him go down pretty quickly. You can summon an Esper to defeat him very fast, just make sure you are at full MP. The Esper will help greatly.
Tiamat
Description: Tiamat does an Aero attack on all of your party which can cause a great deal of damage. To stop this you can just cast Reflect on all of your party members before the battle. Now it will refect back to Tiamat instead of hitting your party. The bad thing is that it will cause Tiamat to recover some HP.
Vossler
Description: Start by killing the 3 soldiers with Vossler. Vossler attacks do not inflict too much damage so it is easier once the soldiers are dead. After he is down to a forth of his health, he will use Enrage. Enrage makes him go wild and attack quicker. Now be careful because Vossler can kill your characters rather quickly this way. To help now just summon your Esper, Belias. but takes full MP. You may want to use a character that is not in your active party. Now have the character that summoned Belias step back so that Vossler will target Belias instead of a character. Summonning Belias after Vossler used Enrage then Belias will kill him. Make sure you heal Belias when needed.
Here is another way to defeat Vossler. Get at least 3 characters over level 18 and all have at least level 3 Mist. Practice doing Mist Chains. A 13 chain Mist combo will most likely kill Vossler and most enemies. You can also make sure that one of your characters can summon Belias for a backup just in case you cannot chain your Mist abilities together.
Feather Of The Flock
Giza Plains during the Rain season: There are five withered trees on the banks of the water. Knock all of them down and they will float down the river. They cause a path to form on the south bank. Cross it and go all the way to the southeast corner to find an urn. Open the urn and you will get the Feather Of The Flock. Feather Of The Flock gives you a bond with Cockatrices.
Belias Tip
Have the following party setup: Fran, Basche as party leader, Vaan, and Vossler. Buy a lot of Handkerchiefs from the NPC outside and a few Phoenix Downs. Equip one party member with low magic (Basche) with the Nethicite. This will make magicks take half damage. Evil Slayer is very helpful if you have it as well. Before entering the altar to Belias, have Fran cast Protect and Shell on all your characters. Now have Vaan do the healing for the party and Basche do the attacking. Try and have Fran cast Water and Slow. When Belias is less then 40% of heaklth, he will cast Firaja. Firaja creates an Oil status which makes fire do a lot more damage. Now it is time to use the Handkerchiefs you bought ealier to prepare. Cure this with the Handkerchiefs, and cast Protect and Shell on Basche. Keep at it and you will acquire Belias as your 1st Esper. Good Luck!
Bonus fishing spots
Complete the tasks below to unlock the fishing spot in the fishing mini-game:
| Master Den | Fish up Saboten Crest in the Secret Reaches. |
| Middle Reaches | Get five "Perfect Fishing" in the Lower Reaches. |
| Secret Reaches | Fish up Saboten Bond in the Upper Reaches with Matamune. |
| Taikou Chest (treasure) | Get 9 "Perfect Fishing" in the Master Den. |
| Upper Reaches | Get five "Perfect Fishing" in the Middle Reaches. |
Garuda
Description: Have 3 players with the Arcane "Dark" magick. Garuda will attack Vossler first. While he does that, have all cast Dark now. It will do about 1,800 damage. Keep repeating this and Garuda will die.
You can do a lot of damage to Garuda by casting Reflect on all your characters before the battle. You can now cast Dark with all of you characters to the party itself. Dark will bounce off your character and hit Garuda.
Adrammeleck Esper
Adrammeleck Esper is located at Athroza Quicksands in Zertinan Caverns. There are many other monsters around him that will join him. Do not attempt to attack Adrammeleck until you can regularly kill a lot of level 40 monsters all at the same time. Try to keep from pushing the battle to areas you have not been in to stop them from spwaning up from the ground.
Gaining Notoriety
When you need to gain popularity by claiming to be Captain Bosche all you need to do is walk into any store and press Square. Just be careful to make a guard is not facing you.
Trying to convince the people of Bhujerba that Bash is alive? Just seek out the City Pasijanahs (always holding books). They increase the Notoriety bar by nearly 20% per pie. Make sure the Bhujerbas Sainikahs are not close by.
Thextera
You have to be at least level 4.
Go to the Sandsea and look at the board that has information for all the hunts.
Choose the "Thextera" hunt then chat to Gatsly, who should be EAST of the board.
Go into the Westersands. Do not look for Thextera yet.
Defeat all the wolves in the area. If not they will join Thextera when you attack him.
After all the wolves have been killed, fight Thextera
Try to take his 2 wolves 1st by luring them away from Thextera.
Have a several potions before you fight him because his fang attack does about 120 damage.
Strong Characters
To have your characters rather strong at low levels, complete all Gambit portions of the license chart and get all the physical lores. Doing that, your characters will be strong.
